Cornbread

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cornmeal
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Combine dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
  3. Add milk, vegetable oil and egg and stir until all dry ingredients are incorporated. Batter will be slightly lumpy.
  4. Pour into a greased 8 or 9 in. pan, and bake for 20-25 minutes. Top should be golden brown.
